ISTANA CAHAYA  THE ART RESORT  BALI INDONESIA

Istana Cahaya is created as a new paradigm for the luxury resort segment.  An estate of fine art, high design, education and luxury residences in the stunning tropical island of BALI. It was conceived fifteen years ago as a luxury interactive art resort, and now is being brought to fruition. The vision creates an opportunity to experience, study and join in the process of creating art.   Every element at ISTANA CAHAYA, the architecture. the furniture and artworks are all created by a collective of international artists making for a completely unique experience.  

The property will consist of a compound of contemporary architectural works with three facades of dark stone embracing the traditional and culturally significant architecture of Bali, while the inner facing facade of white stone serves as an exciting contemporary design with gleaming luminosity as a backdrop for the art throughout the resort.  The guests have the opportunity to participate daily in the creation of monumental artworks of poetic impermanence, an experience few will have in their lives.  Designs have been completed for the villas, the spa, the restaurant, the art gallery and more.  The property is unlike any other in Bali with 300 degree unobstructed views of Bali and the Indian Ocean as well as emerald green mountain ranges.
