VILLA PORTICO

Designed for Jumeirah Road in Dubai, the facades of Villa Portico are characterized by the creation of privacy or conversely the openness to the panoramic ocean views.  The great rooms wall of glass is framed by angled structural columns, a geometrically faceted ceiling and the luxurious swimming pool.  Striking contrasts mark the individual elevations causing varied spatial experiences from each location.  The angled glass wall of the bedrooms and the monumental columns create a private outdoor room for each of the bedrooms.  They are joined by a portico ceremoniously connecting them all to the common areas at the front and the back of the house.  A balance of classical columns executed with the dynamism of parametric design creates a highly original and satisfying environment.
